There are two ongoing forces in my life: food and stories.
I am fascinated by how food and stories converge – how every recipe seems to have a story and history behind it, and how sitting down to a meal almost always erupts in storytelling. Conversely, I am equally interested in the stories that emerge from the kind of magic peculiarity of our everyday minutia. Life is weird and more often than not, ridiculous.
So, here I am. I’m a writer and storyteller and a former restaurant cook, and on a daily basis, those all seem to play together nicely. This is the place I’ll write about all of that. It could get messy.
